Dr. Marisela Rodriguez
Education and Equity for All

The motto, "education and equity for all" is what inspires the new Executive Director of the Tapia Center at Rice University. Dr. Rodriguez brings in over 20 years of educational experience including coaching, teaching, and mentoring educators, students, and parents. She has been awarded over $5 million in grants, and has directed several educational programs. Her passion is working with educators to become more efficient in their teaching, and to help incorporate the passion for learning for all students, no matter what is their background. Her focus is to incorporate research into the Tapia Center, in addition to all the wonderful programs already being offered. She is also a Cantor and first soprano in her church choir, and continues to play timpani. She is married to Rex Roeges, an enlightened chemical engineer. Come meet Dr. Rodriguez!
